CANADIAN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS : Nunavut Territory
Nunavut Territory Tourist Attractions
Auyuittuq National Park Reserve is situated on Baffin Island's Cumberland Peninsula in the eastern Arctic. It is an important Nunavut Territory attraction. Glacial erosion over thousands of years resulted in the spectacular scenery seen in the Park.
Auyuittuq which means 'the land that never melts' may have to be renamed due to global warming ! The Reserve is the land of the Aboriginal Inuit people.
