The plains of Alberta and British Columbia are dominated by the peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Magnificent awesome mountains constituting many of Canada's top tourist attractions. The Rockies offer year round attractions from hiking & camping in the summer to skiing in the winter. the Radium hot springs , for example, can be enjoyed year round.

There are many alpine towns, such as Banff, Kimberley & Golden, scattered throughout the Canadian Rockies which offer perfect jump offs for mountain excitement. Outside of the national park, visitors interested in fishing and hunting can try their luck.

Rocky Mountain House is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It offers superb adventure sports, including white water rafting, kayaking & trail riding not to mention fabulous fishing. Rocky Mountain House, located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, was a fur trading post in the 1800s.
