The Kilcoleman fishery on the Bandon River which for centuries has been recognized as a top Irish fly fishing location in Cork. It is 27 miles from Cork airport, and 6 miles west of the town of Bandon. The fishery has been in Lamb’s family ownership since the early 1700s. David and Patricia Lamb make a particular effort to make their guests feel at home. Kilcoleman is just one of a few private fisheries which only permits fly for salmon throughout the entire season. Kilcoleman offers you something quite unique.
For the lovers of Sea Angling the MV Deora Dé offers some fabulous sea fishing for up to 12 anglers. By the way Deora Dé is gaelic for "Tears of God".. not sure what that infers in a fishing sense! All types of fishing are on offer from the novice right up to international match team anglers. Evening trips are available during the summer months and usually depart at 6pm and return for 9:30pm. These are ideal to give youngsters their first taste of boat angling as they get bored on long trips. Fishing is for mackerel as well as Cod, Whiting, Wrasse, Pollock, Coalfish, Ling, Scad & Garfish. Full day trips are available all year round for General, Reef, Wreck & Shark fishing.
