CORK HOTELS

According to tradition, the city of Cork was founded in the 7 th century when St Finbarr set up a monastery there. The history of Cork is one of turbulence with Viking and Anglo-Norman invasions, Bubonic Plagues , Great Famine, the War of Independence and the Civil War. Ireland's entry the EU put all these troubles behind it as Cork roared in the 1990's along with the Celtic Tiger achieving remarkable economic growth. It is a beautiful sophisticated city whose worth was recognized when it became the European Capital of Culture in 2005. Come & stay in one of Cork's beautiful Hotels & see it for yourself.
