Holidays in Ireland/ Dublin Hotels

DUBLIN HOTELS

Aah Dublin! City of Vikings and Normans, steeped in song from “The Rare Auld Times” “The Dublin Saunter” “The Zoological Gardens” “The Rocky Road to Dublin” “Cockles & Mussels” “A Pint of Plain” “The Auld Triangle” “Raglan Rd”, Dublin has its own unique appeal.

There are myriad reasons for visiting the Irish Capital and Dublin's Hotels can cater and assist you no matter what that reason.

If you are new to Dublin and wish to absorb as much of the city as possible as a tourist, there are many Dublin City hotels which will provide you with all the help you need to decide your itinerary. Ranging from the luxurious Shelbourne and Four Seasons Hotels, Butlers Town House, The Burlington, The Gresham Hotel right through the range of 4 and 3 star, hotels, guest houses, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation and budget hotels.

Dublin is compact and easily navigable by foot offering an unbeatable combination of world-renowned warmth and hospitality. Most top class Dublin Hotels have excellent meetings and conference infrastructure and will do you proud if you wish to host corporate events there.

Dublin Hotels will offer you a haven of luxury and comfort and will help you organise your activities whether they be Shopping, attending Sporting Events, Concerts, taking Tours, visiting Art Galleries, Museums, Bars & Pubs, Clubs, Guinness Store House, Temple Bar, Grafton St. Dublin Castle, Dublin Zoo, Trinity College, Georgian Dublin, or Kilmainham Gaol.

The choice of hotels is literally too vast to be specific here but from a Dubliner's perspective, what about having a look at some of my favourites.

The Shelbourne Hotel on St. Stephen's Green. This has been many Dubliners' favourite hotel for decades. Overlooking the magnificent St. Stephens Green , it has been a landmark in Dublin city for generations and is uniquely historical, going back as far as 1824. History was made here when the Irish Constitution was drafted in 1922 under the chairmanship of Michael Collins. Many international travelers have been guests of the Shelbourne Hotel. It is opulently comfortable and contemporary style and just to add to its attributes, it has seriously good food and one of the most beautiful breakfasts in town. Shopping and theatres are in walking distance, restaurants abound and Trinity College is a stroll away. Accommodation – with suites names after John McCormack, one of the most successful singers of the 20th century, Princess Grace, Charles Stewart Parnell, John F. Kennedy, Peter O'Toole and Michael Collins – is luxuriously comfortable whilst dining is extensively catered for in the Saddle Room (Steak & Seafood) and the No. 27 Restaurant.

The Gresham Hotel is another internationally recognised institution . This landmark building is very central and actually located on O'Connell Street , which is the main street in the city. The deluxe 4 star Hotel is only a few minute's walk away from The River Liffey , Temple Bar , the IFSC and the main shopping districts of the city. It is ideally suited to both leisure and business activities. From the business point of view, every conceiveable benefit is available.

All accommodation both bedrooms and suites are equipped with complimentary wireless internet access, interactive TV systems, air conditioning and a large multi storey car park under the hotel.

If you wished to move out of the city and experience a little bit of history, you could do no better than stay at the famous Clontarf Castle Hotel . Just imagine it, an urban castle that you can make your own, surrounded by wonderful golf courses and the sounds of the Irish Sea, located two miles from the city centre and just five miles from Dublin Airport.

It all began in 1172 when Clontarf Castle was built as an inner circle of defence to protect Dublin, following the slaying of Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, after a battle with the Vikings. This wonderful castle accommodation will enable you to live in the past as well as the present combing luxury and history. Located in Dublin's leafy Northside suburbs, Clontarf Castle Hotel is part of a privately owned Irish collection of hotels. It is a blend of boutique and luxury hotel, providing style, comfort and exceptional service in historical surroundings.

Leaving all the landmark and historical hotels aside, the Dylan is a new addition to Dublin Hotels. It is a stunning new 5 star Boutique Hotel just minutes away from the heart of Dublin City Centre.

The accommodation is the embodiment of luxury and style, service is impeccable, dining is the embodiment of fine cuisine and to add to that, the best technology is in place to ensure your every comfort.

For lovers of rainbow trout fishing check out Rathcon farm near the Wicklow mountains.

Enjoy your Dublin visit & come back soon. Slainte !
