2017 Thurles Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Friday 17th March 2017 at 4pm
This year the Thurles St Patricks Parade it is to be held again on Thursday the 17th March at 4pm in Liberty Square Thurles, with the starting point from LIDL carpark Abbey Road Thurles at 3.45pm.
In addition to the parade there will be side street attractions of a live reptile zoo, a miniature train for children and adults alike.
A climbing wall for the more adventurous and an exhibition of vintage vehicles.
A music display by the local silver band in the new Townspark bandstand and traditional music and song performed by Jim O’ the Mills Group in the centre of Liberty Square.
This year the organisers are requesting intending entries to feature elements of the 1916 Easter Rising celebrations to commemorate the centenary in 2016, given this years parade’s proximity to Easter.
Come along and enjoy the day, an event for all ages and all the family.

The committee are inviting people to attend and would welcome new members.
Participation offers an opportunity to become involved in creating a festive annual occasion and a great national day of celebration. The commitment is not onerous and only for a few months of the year prior to the Parade with meetings beginning in November each year and finishing in March.
