National Historic Trails in Kentucky :

The Trail of Tears National Historic Trail passes through Kentucky . In 1830, the Indian Removal Act required the forced removal of all American Indian tribes from the east . As a result many Cherokee perished. The Trail of Tears National Historic Trail commemorates the Cherokee people.
